Foundation Center

The Foundation Center maintains the most comprehensive database on U.S. grantmakers and their grants, over 600 foundations included. Information on grants for individuals and non-profits along with additional info about the grant seeking process is included.

 

New York Foundation for the Arts

The New York Foundation for the Arts' (NYFA) mission is to empower artists at critical stages in their creative lives and provides the public with opportunities to experience and understand their work. NYFA's website contains a "For Artists" section, job postings, fellowships, opportunities & servies in the arts, and scads of additonal information for artists working in the New York and the northeast.

 

Pew Fellowships in the Arts

Pew Fellowships in the Arts (PFA), established by The Pew Charitable Trusts in 1991, awards grants of $50,000 to artists working in a wide variety of performing, visual, and literary disciplines. The grants provide financial support directly to the artists so that they may have the opportunity to dedicate themselves to creative pursuits exclusively. The program aims to provide such support at moments in artists’ careers when a concentration on artistic growth and exploration is most likely to have the greatest impact on an artist’s long-term professional development.

Fulbright Scholarships

Is the largest U.S. international exchange program offering opportunities for students, scholars, and professionals to undertake international graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and teaching in elementary and secondary schools worldwide.

 

John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation

The John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation provides fellowships for advanced professionals in all fields (natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, creative arts) except the performing arts. Fellowships are not available for students.

 

Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation

The Foundation provides funding for artists and organizations in the states and territories of Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, the US Virgin Islands, Virginia, and West Virginia.

 

Media Arts Fellowships

The Media Arts Fellowships encompasses a range of activities designed to encourage the production, distribution and exhibition of independent media in all forms.
